Job summary

John Lewis in Chelmsford is seeking a Service & Selling Coach to train Partners in delivering exceptional service and selling skills on the shop floor. You will lead coaching sessions, provide feedback and tailor sessions to different learning styles.

The role includes inductions, technical training for headsets, devices and new learning platforms, and staying current with service standards across the brand.

Qualifications

• Confident in delivering coaching and training in different styles including group or individual sessions.
• Good computer skills enabling training on multiple systems.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience in a customer-facing selling/retail environment.
• Ability to plan and prioritise own time and workload.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging training/coaching sessions for Partners in groups or individually to improve service and selling skills.
• Provide Partners with constructive feedback for development.
• Deliver training creatively to suit different learning styles.
• Plan and deliver inductions for new Partners.
• Deliver and support technical training for shopfloor tools and platforms (headsets, devices, apps, new learning platforms).
• Stay up to date with personal learning to champion John Lewis service standards.
