Job summary

John Lewis & Partners in Chichester is seeking a Team Manager to lead a store team, drive customer service excellence, and deliver strong commercial results while ensuring safe, compliant operations.

You will manage the full Partner lifecycle, optimise staff rosters, and collaborate with the leadership team to deliver outstanding experiences for customers and Partners alike. The role includes a night premium for hours 22:00–06:00.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Regulatory compliance management (as required).
• Competent in using human resource tools and systems (Workday or Tableau).
• Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Responsibilities

• Actively role modelling the partnership behaviours and inspiring a team of Partners through clear communication by managing the full Partner lifecycle, supporting them with talent development.
• Being directly accountable for performance within your area of responsibility; ensuring processes are followed and brand standards are delivered.
• Ensuring the store is compliant and safe for our customers and partners.
• Utilise tools provided to allocate resources to meet customer needs.
