Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Support Officer for sites across Newcastle and surrounding areas. You will help protect staff and customers in a busy retail environment, patrolling premises and monitoring access while responding to incidents and emergencies.

The role requires a valid SIA license, a 5-year career history, and the ability to work under pressure with flexible shifts. BardWood offers a pathway to permanent employment after 12 weeks and a range of employee

Qualifications

• SIA license is required.
• 5-year checkable work history is required.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Physically fit to undertake tasks and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Handling large crowds and building positive customer relations.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Support Officer

Pay Rate – £15.15

Location – Applicant must be willing to cover sites in Newcastle, Gosforth, Sunderland, Cramlington, Newcastle Silverlink Retail Park and Surrounding areas.

Shift Timings – up to 6 shifts per week, timings are variable

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
