Job summary

BardWood is seeking a Retail Security Support Officer to cover stores in Birmingham and surrounding areas. You will ensure safety for staff and visitors, patrol premises, and manage entry/exit points.

The role requires a valid SIA license and a driving licence, with shifts up to six days per week. The position transfers to the client after 12 weeks with benefits including SIA license renewal, cycle scheme, salary deductions for smart tech, and various retail vouchers.

Qualifications

• SIA license is required.
• A 5-year checkable work/career history is required.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Physically fit to undertake tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure and stay composed.
• Must hold a Full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the retail store premises.
• Monitor entry/exit points and investigate disturbances.
• Call for assistance in emergencies and operate theft-detection devices.
• Build positive customer relations while managing crowds.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Support Officer

Pay Rate – £15.15ph

Location – must be able cover the following areas Birmingham Bullring, Moseley, Harborne, Selly Oaks, Sheldon, Princess Park, Solihull Sears, Mere Green and Longbridge

Shift Timings – Up to 6 days per week, shift times are variable

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.
