Kingdom Group is seeking a dedicated Retail Security Officer to protect Trinity Square Shopping Centre in Gateshead. This full-time role involves creating a secure and welcoming environment, patrolling the centre, and handling incidents with professionalism and care.

You will engage with customers and retailers, monitor CCTV where applicable, and report incidents accurately, supporting day-to-day operations and frontline security teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional and highly visible security presence throughout the shopping centre.
• Deter theft, anti-social behaviour, and other security-related incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols of the centre and surrounding areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly, professionally, and in line with company procedures.
• Monitor CCTV systems where applicable.
• Assist retailers, visitors, and members of the public with enquiries.
• Complete accurate incident reports and relevant documentation.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at all times.
• Work closely with centre management and colleagues to support operational requirements.

Retail Security Officer

Location: Trinity Square Shopping Centre, Gateshead, NE8 1AG Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Contract: Full-Time Permanent

About the Role

Kingdom Group is looking for a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at Trinity Square Shopping Centre, Gateshead, NE8 1AG.

As a key member of the security team, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, retailers, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day operation of the centre.

Shift Pattern

You will work 40 hours per week on a rota covering Monday to Sunday.

Shift Times:

• 15:00 to 23:00

Working 5 to 6 days per week as required by the business.

Flexibility may be required to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
