Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a professional Retail Security Officer to join Lidl Evesham on a part-time basis, working Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

You will maintain a visible security presence, deter theft, and deliver excellent customer service while balancing safety and loss prevention, with overtime opportunities across the Worcester area.

The ideal candidate holds a valid SIA licence, retail security experience, strong communication skills, and a reliable, punctual approach.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at LIDL Evesham on a part-time basis, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each week.

This role is ideal for an experienced security professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and understands the importance of balancing effective security with excellent customer service. In addition to the contracted hours at LIDL Evesham, additional overtime opportunities will be available across sites within the Worcester area for those looking to increase their earnings and gain exposure to a variety of retail locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a highly visible and professional security presence within the store.
• Deter theft, fraud, stock loss, and anti-social behaviour.
• Conduct regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas.
• Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
• Complete accurate and detailed incident reports.
• Support store management with loss prevention initiatives.
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers where appropriate.
• Monitor suspicious activity and report concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Ensure all security duties are carried out in line with company policies and client requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
• Previous retail security experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of loss prevention and crime reduction within a retail environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal professionally with challenging situations and difficult individuals.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Flexible approach to working additional shifts within the Worcester area when available.
