Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer for Asda Worcester. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a safe shopping environment and deterring crime.

Pay rate is £13.10 per hour with morning, evening and weekend hours. Successful candidates will follow assignment instructions, conduct patrols and use CCTV to support loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry leading customer service while patrolling store areas.
• Record activity accurately on required documents per procedures.
• Follow site risk assessments and maintain safety standards.
• Wear full uniform and present a tidy appearance.
• Deter violence and assist in loss prevention using CCTV.
• Liaise with store management and police when needed.
• Provide visible security contact for staff and customers.
• Report incidents promptly through the company systems.

Mitie is looking for Retail security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.

Objectives And Responsibilities

• Work to the Assignment Instructions ensuring that all activity is accurately recorded on the correct documents, in line with both the Client's and the Company's Quality Procedures
• To follow the site-specific Risk Assessments ensuring all activities are completed in a safe manner
• Set and maintain the highest personal and professional standards as an employee of MITIE and adopt a total quality approach to every aspect of your work, colleagues and clients
• To create a safe working environment, free from crime and health and safety related issues for colleagues, contractors and customers
• To add a polite greeting and excellent customer service
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers

Main Duties

• To deliver industry leading customer service
• To be clean, tidy and properly dressed wearing full uniform
• To deter violence and public order offences
• To conduct patrols of the store
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the store management teams
• To report incidents and crime through our leading technology
• Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store
• To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
