Job summary

Bardwood is seeking a Retail Security Officer in Cardiff at Culverhouse Cross to protect staff and customers in a busy retail setting. You will patrol the premises, monitor entrances and exits, and operate theft-detection devices.

This is a full-time role with 40+ hours per week, requiring flexibility including weekends. A valid SIA license and a 5-year checkable work history are required. Pay rate is £13.96 per hour.

Qualifications

• SIA license and a 5-year work history are required.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrol store premises to deter theft and ensure safety.
• Hand out baskets and greet customers.

About the role

Title – Retail security officer

Pay Rate – £13.96

Location – Cardiff, Culverhouse Cross

Shift Timings – Full time, 40+ hours per week, must be fully flexible and able to work weekends

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
