Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer for a busy Oswestry store. The role is full-time, 40 hours a week, with weekend work and a £13.58 per hour rate.

You will patrol, assist customers, monitor entry/exit points, and respond to emergencies while maintaining staff and customer safety. Applicants should hold an SIA license, have a 5-year verifiable work history, and be able to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

About the role

Shift Timings – Full time, 40 hours per week, must be fully flexible and able to work weekends

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.
