Job summary

Mitie is recruiting a Retail Security Officer to work at Asda Kings Heath. You will deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a safe shopping environment.

Pay rate £13.10 per hour. Hours include mornings, evenings and weekends. Duties include patrolling, CCTV monitoring, reporting incidents, and liaising with store management and police as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering Customer Service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Adaptable communication style to meet diverse people groups.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving services business.
• Capability in the use of technology.
• Good attention to detail.
• High level of enthusiasm and passion.
• Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Record activity on correct documents per Client and Company procedures.
• Follow site-specific Risk Assessments to stay safe.
• Maintain high personal and professional standards as a Mitie employee.

• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers.

• Conduct store patrols.
• Utilise CCTV to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Liaise with store management teams.
• Report incidents and crime through our technology.

• Wear Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety.

Retail Security Officer- Asda

Mitie is looking for Retail security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.

Objectives and Responsibilities:

• Work to the Assignment Instructions ensuring that all activity is accurately recorded on the correct documents, in line with both the Client's and the Company's Quality Procedures
• To follow the site-specific Risk Assessments ensuring all activities are completed in a safe manner
• Set and maintain the highest personal and professional standards as an employee of MITIE and adopt a total quality approach to every aspect of your work, colleagues and clients
• To create a safe working environment, free from crime and health and safety related issues for colleagues, contractors and customers
• To add a polite greeting and excellent customer service
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers

Main Duties:

• To deliver industry leading customer service
• To be clean, tidy and properly dressed wearing full uniform
• To deter violence and public order offences
• To conduct patrols of the store
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the store management teams
• To report incidents and crime through our leading technology
• Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store
• To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
