Job summary

Staffline is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for Bedford. The role requires an SIA licence, access to your own transport, and involves weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 11pm.

You will safeguard the client’s premises and staff with a visible uniformed presence and perform loss prevention duties. The ideal candidate communicates well, is customer‑focused and tech‑savvy for digital reporting.

Qualifications

• Must have an SIA licence.
• Must have access to own transport.
• Must be aged 18 or over.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• Carrying out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• Observing and reporting incidents using the correct reporting systems
• Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at the local level are identified
• Understanding and implementing any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• Assisting, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• Ensuring that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• Conducting yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring a full uniform is worn, and the SIA licence is clearly displayed

Job description

Retail Security Officer in Bedford, where no two days will be the same and you will have the opportunity to carve out a career with the biggest name in security.

Contract Information:

Location: Bedford and surrounding areas

Pay Rate: £13.80-£14.30 per hour depending on site

Shifts: Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 11pm
