Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, is recruiting a Retail Security Officer to deter trouble, protect staff and premises, and follow loss prevention policies. You will observe, report, and assist with evacuations, while maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence on site.

Ideal candidates are aged 18+, with excellent communication, a team mindset, and comfort using digital devices for administration. Training and ongoing development are provided by a global leader in security solutions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using digital devices and admin systems.
• Must be 18 or older and able to work as part of a team.
• SIA licence must be displayed on site.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent and ensure safety.
• Observe and report incidents using reporting systems.
• Follow client policies on loss prevention and evacuations.
• Maintain a clean and tidy security base and wear full uniform.

Job description

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
