Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, is seeking a Retail Security Officer to maintain safety on client premises and support staff and visitors. You will be a visible deterrent, enforce loss prevention, and follow established safety procedures.

The role requires clear communication, teamwork, and a professional approach with a compliant attitude. The position includes progression opportunities within a large international security provider, comprehensive induction and on-site training, and a focus

• Admin is largely digital and paperless; must be tech-savvy with digital devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to deter trouble on site.
• Follow Company Policy on loss prevention and safety of staff and visitors.
• Deter troublemakers on site lawfully.
• Observe and report incidents using correct reporting systems.
• Carry out duties as directed by client or manager.
• Maintain up-to-date site knowledge and local developments.
• Understand and enact Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required by client.
• Keep the Security base clean and tidy.
• Present yourself professionally with full uniform and visible SIA licence.

Job description

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
