Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, is seeking a Retail Security Officer in Didcot to provide a visible uniformed deterrent and safeguard staff and visitors. The role requires an SIA licence and the ability to carry out duties across varying shifts.

You will observe and report incidents using the proper systems, respond to on-site situations, and ensure the security base remains clean and well-presented. Must be 18+ with strong communication and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible uniformed deterrent and contribute to safety of client premises and staff
• Observe and report incidents using correct reporting systems
• Carry out duties assigned by client or manager
• Ensure site knowledge is up to date and understand Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required
• Maintain clean and tidy security base
• Display full uniform and SIA licence at all times

Position: Retail Security Officer

Location: Didcot

Pay Rate: £13.80 per hour

Hours: Various

Shifts: Various

SG / DS SIA licence required.

Your Time at Work

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
