Job summary

Staffline, in collaboration with TSS, is seeking a Retail Security Officer to provide a visible deterrent and protect client premises in a fast-paced environment. You will uphold loss prevention policies, ensure staff safety, and maintain a professional, friendly service while complying with all security procedures.

The role requires strong communication, a customer-focused approach, and comfort with using digital devices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to deter trouble and protect premises.
• Follow company loss prevention policy and ensure staff safety.
• Deter potential troublemakers on site lawfully.
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems.
• Maintain a clean and tidy security base and wear full uniform with SIA licence clearly displayed.

Job description

As a Retail Security Officer you will be responsible for:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
