Job summary

Sporting Club Leigh Ltd. is seeking a Retail Store Assistant to join our Leigh Market unit and Stadium store. The role includes supervisory responsibilities at Leigh Market, under the Head of Retail, supporting growth of a developing department.

You will work front of house, handle sales of retail products, memberships and tickets, assist promotions, manage stock levels, and maintain tidy shop environments across Market and Stadium locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail and sales is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT skills; knowledge of retail management software preferred.
• Competence in till systems, stock control systems and CMS is a strong advantage.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in managing the Leigh Market retail unit under supervision.
• Open and close the market unit daily.
• Operate market unit in coordination with Head of Retail.
• Deliver strong customer service and handle queries.
• Maintain stock levels and assist promotions.
• Ensure tidy shop environments and smooth shop floor operations.
