Job description

Leigh Leopards are looking for enthusiastic people to join their retail team, working front of house at the club's Leigh Market retail unit and the stadium store.

The Role

This casual role comes with supervisory responsibility for the Leigh Market store, supported by the Head of Retail. You will sell club merchandise, memberships and tickets, help deliver promotions, monitor stock and keep the store clean and tidy, and you will work in the stadium store on matchdays.

Key Responsibilities

• Take the lead in running the Leigh Market retail unit, including opening and closing each day
• Sell retail products, memberships and tickets from the shop counters
• Help deliver promotions and monitor stock levels
• Handle customer queries and complaints by phone, email and in person
• Handle cash and stock accurately and responsibly
• Complete basic IT and administration tasks
• Work in the stadium store on matchdays

About You

• Retail and sales experience is desirable
• Good IT skills; knowledge of till, stock control and e-commerce systems is a strong advantage
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, and stay calm under pressure
• Knowledge of Leigh Leopards, rugby league and sports retail is an advantage but not essential

• Location: Leigh Market, Gas St, Leigh WN7 4PG and Leigh Sports Village, Sale Way, Leigh WN7 4JY
• Contract: Casual (several weekdays available, including Saturdays)
• Hours: Mainly Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, plus Saturdays and matchdays
• Salary: Hourly rate
• Closing date: Expected 14 November 2026 (open until a suitable candidate is found)
