Job summary

Savills Ltd. is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily centre operations including staff recruitment, training, and safety systems.

The role involves liaising with tenants, managing contracts, coordinating marketing support, and producing key metrics such as turnover and footfall. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining retail environments, managing security and maintenance teams, and a proactive approach to health and safety with NEBOSH qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining public-facing retail environments.
• Experience in security, cleaning and maintenance staff management.
• Ability to set up and administer detailed record keeping systems.
• Experience managing services to a budget.
• Able to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills; flexible to retail needs.
• Willing to adopt flexible working patterns for retail environments.
• NEBOSH Health & Safety qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the centre to the highest standard at all times.
• Minimise liability risk exposure for the owner.
• Ensure plant and machinery are maintained; safety details are on site.
• Ensure contractors meet agreed specifications and method statements.
• Report on repairs, improvements and replacement needs.
• Work with letting agents to develop and implement a retail leasing strategy.
• Handle enquiries via telephone and in person for tenants, contractors and public.
• Manage publicity and social media updates for the centre.
• Oversee staff and contractors; provide training and development.
• Produce turnover and footfall statistics.
