Job summary

Eastgate Shopping Centre seeks a capable operations lead to broaden experience across operations, facilities, compliance and tenant engagement. You will work closely with the Centre Director and Deputy to own a varied remit including H&S management, inspections, compliance and contractor activity.

You will balance detail with people skills, handle reporting, H&S systems and administration, while walking the centre to engage occupiers, manage contractors and solve day-to-day issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail property, facilities management or health & safety preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• H&S management, inspections, audits and compliance.
• Tenant inspections, retailer liaison and H&S guidance.
• Emergency procedures, incident reporting and RiskWise administration.
• Supporting shop fits, planned works and contractor activity.
• Utilities, recharges, invoicing and wider operational administration.
• Managing the centre’s administration team.
• Supporting commercialisation activity and wider day-to-day operations.
• Duty management with a 1-in-4 weekend rota.

Job description

A newly created opportunity has opened up at Eastgate Shopping Centre for someone looking to broaden their experience across operations, facilities, compliance and tenant engagement.

You’ll be working closely with the Centre Director and Deputy Centre Director as part of the core management team, taking ownership across a genuinely varied remit including:

• Health & Safety management, inspections, audits and compliance
• Tenant inspections, retailer liaison and H&S guidance
• Emergency procedures, incident reporting and RiskWise administration
• Supporting shop fits, planned works and contractor activity
• Utilities, recharges, invoicing and wider operational administration
• Managing the centre’s administration team
• Supporting commercialisation activity and wider day-to-day operations
• Duty management, including a 1-in-4 weekend rota

Eastgate itself is in a strong position, with very high occupancy, significant leasing activity behind it and further development underway, including a new health centre.

For someone currently working in retail property, facilities management, operations or Health & Safety, this could be a great opportunity to step into a role with more ownership, visibility and exposure to the wider running of a shopping centre.

You’ll need to be comfortable balancing detail with people - someone who can deal with compliance, reporting, H&S systems and administration, but is equally happy walking the centre, speaking with occupiers, working with contractors and solving problems as they arise.
