• Previous retail buying experience as an Assistant Buyer or a buyer.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head of Buying to streamline the buying operation.
• Maintain effective communication with Far East suppliers.
• Manage critical paths and negotiate prices with suppliers.
• Oversee stock movement across the supply chain.
• Coordinate with Design teams to meet product specifications.

Job description

Due to sustained year-on-year growth, my client is seeking to recruit a Retail Buyer. They are an established, award-winning end to end FMCG manufacturing business, who work with global suppliers and many high street retailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head of Buying to streamline the buying operation
• Liaising and maintaining effective communication with suppliers based in the Far East
• Critical path management
• Price negotiation with some suppliers
• Overseeing and coordinating stock movement across the supply chain
• Liaising with the Design teams to ensure products meet the spec and can be delivered on time

Ideally you will have previous retail buying experience as an Assistant Buyer looking for a step up or as a buyer

Due to the pace of the industry, it's really key that you love what you do, and that buying creates a real passion in you

Location and Requirements

Due to the location of the site, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
