Job summary

JD Sports Fashion is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in St Albans to drive store performance and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You’ll support the Store Manager, mentor your team, and ensure daily operations align with sales targets and standards.

You will lead by example on service, visuals, stock control and KPI delivery, building a performance-driven environment and developing colleagues to reach their best.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret KPI and sales data to inform decisions.
• Experience driving sales performance in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to help achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, assigning tasks and maintaining standards.
• Coach and develop team with real-time feedback and clear expectations.
• Maintain presentation and operational standards including stock, price accuracy, and safety.
• Carry out core duties such as till checks, deliveries, stock audits, and opening/closing routines.
