JD Sports Hereford is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager, motivate the team, and drive performance in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will lead daily operations, uphold JD standards, and help deliver exceptional customer experiences while aiming for ambitious sales targets. This role offers scope to develop talent and contribute to a high‑performing team in a premium sports fashion store.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail management or supervisory role, ready to support leadership.
• Strong leadership skills to guide and develop staff while prioritising store goals.
• Ability to interpret KPI and sales data to drive commercial decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, assign tasks, and maintain JD standards.
• Coach and develop teammates with real-time feedback and clear expectations.
• Maintain high presentation and operational standards, including pricing accuracy and displays.
• Carry out core duties such as till checks, stock audits, and opening/closing routines.
