JD Sports Fashion is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help drive store performance, lead a frontline team, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will partner with the Store Manager to meet sales targets, coach staff, maintain presentation standards, and ensure smooth daily operations across all store activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail management or supervisory role, ready to support leadership.
• Strong leadership to guide and develop colleagues while maintaining store priorities.
• Ability to interpret KPI and sales data to support commercial decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional customer interactions.
• Experience driving sales performance and achieving KPIs in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to help achieve sales targets and core KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocating tasks, supporting service delivery, and maintaining company standards throughout the day.
• Assist with coaching and development, offering real-time feedback and reinforcing expectations set by the Store Manager.
• Maintain high presentation and operational standards, including availability, pricing accuracy, tidy displays, and a safe environment.
• Carry out core operational duties such as cash handling support, till checks, delivery processing, stock audits, and opening/closing routines — escalating issues appropriately.
