Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited in Basingstoke is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the store in the Store Manager's absence, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will manage a busy team, maintain visual standards, handle stock, and contribute to the store’s budget and business plan on a 40-hour week rota basis.

Applicants should have supervisory experience in retail and a passion for customer satisfaction, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a retail or customer-facing environment.
• Experience managing stock, merchandising, and delivering commercial targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, including sales, stock control, and customer service.
• Confident interpreting financial data and managing budgets.
• Solid IT skills and awareness of Health & Safety and GDPR compliance.
• A natural ability to lead, motivate, and inspire others.
