Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 adult resuscitation practitioner role within the Resuscitation and Simulation Department at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This is a cross‑site, full‑time post working across multiple acute hospital sites and satellite units.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive and cohesive resuscitation service by supporting the Resuscitation Service Team Lead.
  • Deliver resuscitation training (basic to advanced life support) to all grades of staff and external candidates.
  • Monitor and improve standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence‑based practice and teaching.
  • Provide direct and indirect clinical care, ensuring the needs of the patient are central to service delivery.
  • Participate in cardiac arrest/emergency team responses, offering clinical expertise and support.
  • Collect, collate and present data for national and local audits at appropriate forums.
  • Support the wider resuscitation team and range of services across multiple sites.
  • Actively contribute to clinical effectiveness processes within the service.
  • Develop professionally to become an instructor and take part in learning opportunities in resuscitation practice and education.
