Job summary

Dobbies Garden Centres Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help run our restaurant operation across our stores. You will deliver tasty food, maintain standards, drive sales and ensure hygiene while supporting the Restaurant Manager.

You will lead a team, manage stock, and coordinate with central support to keep operations smooth. This role offers progression within a thriving garden centre environment and a supportive, customer-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in running a restaurant operation.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive sales and manage budgets.
• Experience controlling stock and ensuring HACCP/health & safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fast-paced restaurant operation, covering kitchen and FOH.
• Lead an engaged team focused on great customer experience.
• Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Manage stock controls to minimise wastage and ensure supplies.
• Support delivery of in-store events and seasonal fixtures.
• Communicate with central support teams to keep operations smooth.
• Work with Garden Centre Management to provide a safe, commercially successful store.
