Job summary

At Dobbies Garden Centres, we are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help deliver an exceptional guest experience across our restaurants. You will support the Restaurant Manager in leading the team to serve great food, uphold hygiene standards and meet commercial targets in a vibrant, refurbished environment that supports career growth.

You will oversee kitchen and front-of-house operations, lead an engaged team, ensure health & safety compliance, and manage stock to minimise wastage

Qualifications

• Experience managing a restaurant facility and teams.
• Understanding of budgets, cost control and profitability.
• Proven ability to manage stock and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Ability to identify training needs and coach staff at all levels.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Positive approach to leading through change and maintaining morale.
• Demonstrates the company values in daily team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fast-paced restaurant operation, kitchen and front of house.
• Lead a team to deliver a great customer experience.
• Ensure strict health and safety compliance at all times.
• Manage stock controls to minimise wastage and stockouts.
• Support in-store events and seasonal activities.
• Communicate with central support teams to maintain smooth operations.
• Collaborate with Garden Centre Management for a safe, commercially successful store.
