Job summary

Grantley Hall Group Limited in North Yorkshire is seeking an hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead the front-of-house team across all service periods, including evenings and weekends, while upholding the highest standards of guest service within our luxury hotel.

You will mentor colleagues, manage restaurant cost and revenue, ensure cleanliness, respond to guest feedback, and drive continuous improvements to retain and grow our competitive advantage.

Salary: Competitive rate of pay plus monthly tronc typically £3,400 annually

Key Responsibilities

• Hands‑on, operational role throughout all serving periods, will include some evenings and weekends.
• Taking a leadership role in engaging with guests and team members to meet and exceed their needs.
• Acting as a coach and mentor to a team and to ensure high engagement levels, people development and retention, alongside a robust training and development plan.
• Managing cost and revenue of the restaurant without impact on brand, or quality standards.
• Continuously identifying and developing areas for improvement and motivating the team to actively take part in the process to enhance the brand experience.
• Showing a thorough understanding of the restaurant and hotel market to retain and increase the restaurant competitive advantage through continuous proactive strategic and operational planning.
• Fully responsible for cleanliness of the department.
• Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
• Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
