Job summary

The Sutton Hotel Collection in London is seeking an experienced restaurant manager to lead service excellence, oversee the restaurant team, and uphold the brand's 5-star standards.

You will manage staff, control costs, train colleagues, promote guest satisfaction, and contribute to promotions and budget adherence. The role offers generous benefits including free hotel breaks, Leisure Passes, enhanced parental leave, and ongoing learning opportunities.

• Enhances guest satisfaction through professional 5-star service
• Handles guest comments and complaints, ensuring follow-up
• To ensure the agreed standards of food service are adhered to at all times
• To manage employees ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained
• Uses guest feedback to identify training needs for the team, communicates effectively in daily briefings.
• Develops and supports the team spirit and motivation by creating a good working atmosphere
• Stock control, ordering and ensures that all stock counts are carried out monthly
• To ensure the restaurant's operational budgets are strictly adhered to, all costs are controlled and any expenditure approved
• To create and implement sales promotions and staff incentives, strictly requiring the authorization of the Head of Department.

Overview of duties:

• Ensures the high standard of services provided for guests and the attainment of the department's qualitative and quantitative targets
• Conveys the hotel's image and atmosphere through their exemplary attitude, warm and friendly welcome, availability, and frequent presence in the department.
• Effectively oversee and direct the restaurant in a smooth and operational manner
• Manage all staff members in the agreed standard of food service during shift
• Guide and lead by example in all areas of restaurant conduct
• Liaise and co-operate effectively with all other associated members of staff in relation to all aspects of the production and service of food
• Train and develop employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties
• Promote the safe use of the restaurant, its equipment and building under the Health and Safety at Work acts, Hygiene and other regulations
• Respond to any changes in the restaurant as dictated by the needs of the operations and the company

You will have a friendly and caring personality, be able to keep calm under pressure, be confident, organised and maintain a hands-on supervisory management approach. You will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, a guest first approach and a real passion for great service delivery.
