Adecco is recruiting for a Resource Planning Assistant to support Merseyside Police in a fast-paced environment on a temporary basis. The role is based in Merseyside with full-time hours (36.5 per week) and an hourly rate of £13.33.

Job Advert: Resource Planning Assistant

Location: Merseyside

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: £13.33

Working Pattern: Full Time (36.5 hours per week, 5 days a week)

Monday to Friday below shift times

  • 7.00am - 14:48pm
  • 8.12am - 16:00pm
  • 8:42am - 16:30pm
  • 11:12am - 19:00pm

Our client, Merseyside Police are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Resource Planning Assistant to join their dynamic Force Resource Unit. This exciting opportunity is perfect for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about effective resource management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Resource Planning Supervisor in determining resource strengths to meet customer requirements.
  • Providing administrative support for operations in the absence of the Resource Planning Supervisor.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date demand profile to ensure effective personnel allocation, including managing restricted and recuperative duties.
  • Administering Force rotas to maintain fairness and equity, while effectively communicating details to all relevant individuals and Command Teams.
  • Monitoring staff working hours to ensure compliance with Force policy and Working Time Regulations 1998.
  • Conducting tasks related to the administration of the Duty Management System (DMS), including staff movements and flexible working agreements.
Ideal Candidate:
  • A strong understanding of resource allocation and work scheduling issues, along with relevant knowledge of Personnel Policies, Police Regulations, and Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly in Windows, MS Office applications, and resource management systems.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to balance competing demands and advocate for the needs of both individuals and the organisation.
  • A self-motivated attitude with the capability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads effectively.
