Job summary

Butlin's in Skegness is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a resort restaurant or QSR, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality guest food and beverage experiences. You will drive on‑floor leadership, coach teams, manage stock, and align with brand standards.

You will deliver consistent service, control labour costs, manage daily operations, and partner with kitchen teams to ensure timely food delivery while maintaining busy peak periods with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supervising a restaurant or high-volume F&B venue.
• Strong team leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing rotas, labour and budgets.
• Strong understanding of food safety and compliance.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the floor to deliver fast, friendly, safe service and consistent product quality.
• Implement operational and commercial plans to support venue performance.
• Support stock controls, cellar routines, product care and compliance standards.
• Use insight to guide real-time decisions during peak periods.
• Demonstrate on-floor leadership and coach the team in the moment.
• Recruit, lead, coach and develop the team.
• Create rotas aligned to occupancy, demand and budget.
• Set expectations and manage performance; maintain guest experience.
• Manage labour costs, stock, waste and ordering processes.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness and licensing compliance.
