Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Network Planner - Resilience to lead resilience, emergency and severe weather response planning. The role is hybrid and based from Bristol or Exeter, with travel as part of duties and a requirement of no more than 3 points on your driving licence.

You will develop processes, advise on best practices, and work with local authorities and resilience forums to minimise disruption and protect customers.

Qualifications

• Civil Contingency Act 2004 (desirable)
• Experience of creating, developing response plans including managing debriefs (desirable)
• Ability to implement company crisis management procedures and policies
• Good communications and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead development of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans
• Develop and implement processes and procedures adopting best practice and insights
• Liaise with regional Operations, local authorities and resilience forums to minimise impact on customers
• Manage Network Resilience funding and liaise with service providers to prioritise opportunities
• Provide advice to minimise impact to Operations in emergencies
• Analyse effectiveness of plans and drive continuous improvement
