Job summary

Compass Community Limited is recruiting a Residential Support Worker to help children experience childhood, build self-esteem and progress into adulthood. The role offers a supportive training pathway with Skills to Care induction and a clear route to Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

You will support activities, health and wellbeing, supervise where needed and assist with domestic tasks, timetable creation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Age 22 years or older (to meet Ofsted regulations).
• Valid manual driving licence.
• Previous experience not essential; Skills to Care induction provided.
• Two weeks classroom-based training + a week of shadow shifts.
• Support to achieve Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting all aspects of their lives and wellbeing.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, providing supervision as needed.
• Assist the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
