Job summary

Compass Community Limited is seeking a Residential Support Worker to help children in our care. The role focuses on safeguarding, supporting activities, and building trusting relationships, with training and development opportunities.

Starting salary £27,976 plus £60 per sleep-in. 224 hours of holiday, rising to 248 after four years, and a pathway to a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare; benefits include MediCash and a company pension.

Qualifications

• Must be 22 years of age or above to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Be caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with others.
• Hold a valid manual driving licence.
• Able to remain calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting health and wellbeing.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, some requiring high supervision.
• Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
