Wiltshire College & University Centre is recruiting a Residential Accommodation Services Manager at Lackham. You will lead a student-facing residential team, ensuring high standards of care, safety and inclusivity across all accommodation provision.

You will oversee admissions, welfare, safeguarding and compliance with Care Standards, while developing opportunities for enrichment and a welcoming residential community for students of all ages.

Competenze

• Experience managing residential accommodation, student services or a similar service.
• Proven experience in leading, motivating and developing a team.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge, particularly for under-18s.
• Knowledge of Care Standards and regulatory requirements for residential provision.
• Experience with health and safety and risk management.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience managing budgets, staffing and operational resources.
• Positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people to develop independence and life skills.
• Ability to inspire a team and foster a culture of high standards and accountability.

• Oversee day-to-day management of residential accommodation, ensuring high standards across all provision.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive residential community where students feel safe, valued and supported.
• Ensure residential services for under-18s meet Care Standards, with appropriate policies and QA arrangements.
• Take responsibility for student welfare, safeguarding and pastoral care.
• Develop opportunities for residential activities and enrichment that encourage friendships, independence and personal development.
• Work with curriculum, safeguarding and student support teams to provide joined-up support.
• Build relationships with parents, carers, external agencies and partners.
• Oversee admissions, room allocations, arrivals and departures.
• Ensure accommodation meets health and safety and maintenance standards.
• Manage staffing, budgets and resources for an efficient, high-quality service.
• Maintain records and ensure policy/regulatory compliance.
• Lead, motivate and develop the residential team to drive high standards.
