Summer Boarding Courses is seeking a Welfare Manager to oversee student welfare across our residential summer programmes at multiple UK venues, leading House/College Officer teams and ensuring safe, supportive boarding environments.

The role includes on-site training, accommodation, DBS cost coverage, and a focus on safeguarding, daily welfare meetings, and clear communication with admissions and host schools.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills are essential.
• Experience in residential summer schools and pastoral care is highly valued.
• Ability to manage welfare, staff and record-keeping across multiple sites.

Responsabilités

• Oversee welfare of all students and respond to wellbeing concerns.
• Lead daily welfare meetings and coordinate with Admissions Team.
• Supervise House Teams and establish routines for safe boarding.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping of medication, incidents and welfare logs.
• Coordinate on-site student laundry and health-related appointments.
• Provide guidance to staff and act as First Aider with required training.
• Manage safeguarding compliance and on-call duties up to six times weekly.
• Foster strong communication with parents and host schools.
