Job summary

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a Residential Accommodation Supervisor to support students living on campus at Lackham. This casual, permanent role offers a flexible pattern of hours and a competitive hourly wage as part of a supportive residential team.

You will help create a safe, welcoming environment, supervise accommodation areas, and support student wellbeing, working closely with safeguarding and pastoral teams to ensure high standards of welfare and safety.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Experience in residential, youth work, education, care, hospitality, security, or people-focused environments.
• Understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm and consistent approach when dealing with challenging situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexible and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for residential students.
• Supervise accommodation areas and promote positive behaviour.
• Support student wellbeing and pastoral needs.
• Respond to incidents and safeguarding concerns.
• Carry out regular checks of residential areas.
• Encourage students to develop independence and life skills.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents and activities.
• Collaborate with safeguarding, pastoral, and College teams.
