Job summary

Choice Care Group is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our regional team on the road across the South Region. You will deliver reactive repairs and planned maintenance for our residential properties, ensuring safety, comfort and high standards for residents.

The role is 40 hours per week with an eight-hour shift Monday to Friday, on-call standby allowances, travel time paid, company van and tools provided, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Practical experience of general property maintenance, facilities work, caretaking or a similar hands-on role.
• Ability to complete minor repairs safely and to a good standard.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to participate in the on-call rota.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working in occupied homes with residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive repairs and planned maintenance across residential properties.
• Carry out minor decorating, carpentry and repairs.
• Identify leaks, blockages and safety issues; coordinate with specialists.
• Work 8-hour shifts Mon–Fri with on-call duties.
• Use a job-management app to track tasks and times.
