Job summary

Inside Talent is seeking a professional Lettings Negotiator to join our busy Residential Lettings team. You will engage with tenants and landlords, promote properties and arrange viewings while delivering high standards of customer service.

Experience of at least two years in residential lettings and a good knowledge of the local market are required. You will manage client relationships, handle applications and references, negotiate terms, and keep systems up to date.

Responsibilities

• Speaking with tenants and landlords to assess needs and build rapport.
• Promoting properties to potential tenants.
• Arranging and overseeing property viewings for potential tenants.
• Liaising with landlords and other parties involved in the rental process.
• Handling inquiries from clients via email and phone.
• Negotiating terms between landlords and tenants to reach an agreement.
• Explaining tenancy applications and referencing progress, arranging signings.
• Handling payments and deposits in line with procedures.
• Troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Keeping administrative systems up to date.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant housing guidelines and laws.

Working within a busy and collaborative Residential Lettings team, we are looking for a professional, personable and motivated person to join our team as a Lettings Negotiator.

The successful candidate will be expected to work at the highest standard and be committed to delivering outstanding customer service to both tenants and landlords. Previous experience is preferred and knowledge of the local area would be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Speaking with potential tenants, assessing what their exact needs and requirements are and building rapport.
• Promoting properties.
• Arranging and overseeing viewings of properties for potential tenants.
• Speaking with landlords and other parties involved in the rental.
• Answering queries from clients and potential clients via email, telephone
• Negotiating between property owners and potential tenants to find a mutually beneficial agreement.
• Explaining the tenancy applications, referencing/progressing of application, arranging signing of agreements.
• Organising the payment of money due.
• Troubleshooting when problems arise.
• Keeping administrative systems up to date.
• Adhering to the relevant guidelines set by law at all times.

Hours of work

• 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday - Friday and 1 in 2 Saturdays 9:00am to 3:00pm. Where a Saturday is worked a weekday will be given in lieu.
