Job summary

JLD Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a proactive Lettings Negotiator to own the lettings process from marketing to tenancy completion in Southend-on-Sea, with travel across Essex, London and surrounding areas.

The role requires a strong basic salary with an uncapped monthly bonus and a Monday–Friday schedule. Key responsibilities include marketing properties, handling enquiries, conducting viewings and negotiating rental terms.

Qualifications

• Previous property/lettings experience essential.
• Strong sales, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Confident, organised and commercially focused.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and managing a busy diary.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage allocated properties and minimise void periods.
• Market properties across relevant platforms, including photography and social media.
• Manage enquiries, qualify applicants and conduct property viewings.
• Negotiate rental terms and select suitable tenants.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve demand, conversion and rental income.
• Support check-ins, check-outs and wider lettings operations.
• Build strong relationships with applicants, tenants, agents and stakeholders.

Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex | Travel: Essex, London & surrounding areas

Salary: Strong basic plus uncapped monthly performance-related bonus

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm | Flexibility required

Full UK driving licence essential | ARLA Propertymark preferred
