Job summary

Alder Forest is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations at a large-scale residential development in the UK. You will work with senior management, drive resident experience, and help shape commercial performance with clear KPIs.

The role offers a path toward a General Manager position, exposure to lease-up and occupancy, and collaboration with stakeholders. Salary up to £40,000 DOE plus a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-focused residential property management or Build to Rent.
• Ability to lead or support teams in an operational setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with residents and partners.
• Focus on customer service and resident experience.
• Experience using property management software, preferably Yardi.
• Willingness to take ownership of projects and deliver results.
• Experience with budgets or large-scale residential developments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of the development and key performance areas.
• Lead or support front-of-house Resident Services Associates.
• Assist recruitment, onboarding and process implementation.
• Contribute to lease-up strategy, occupancy and retention.
• Oversee resident communications and timely handling of requests.
• Review resident feedback and drive improvements to experience.
• Support building compliance, health and safety, and inspections.
• Oversee vacant apartment turnarounds and planned maintenance.
• Monitor expenditure and contribute to financial reporting and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to generate additional revenue.
