Job summary

Encore is seeking a Day Concierge in Watford to welcome residents and visitors, assist with inquiries, and manage maintenance requests on a 4-on/4-off schedule. You'll play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming lobby and ensuring smooth daily operations.

The role values excellent communication, a proactive attitude, and a basic understanding of health and safety. Previous concierge or security experience is preferred, with a focus on customer service and local knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience as a concierge is a plus, but strong customer service or security background is valued.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Health & safety qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
• A positive, can-do attitude, attention to detail, and ability to handle responsibilities with care.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist residents and visitors, greet them warmly and help with queries and maintenance requests.
• Address issues promptly, from maintenance to emergencies, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular site walk-arounds, check IDs, and monitor CCTV for building safety.

We're looking for a proactive Day Concierge to join our dynamic team in the heart of Watford. If you’re committed to maintaining high standards and resolving issues efficiently, this role is perfect for you.

• Location: Watford
• Annual Salary: £30,000
• Hours/Working Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 7am-7pm

What You'll Be Doing:

• Welcome and Assist: Greet residents and visitors warmly, making them feel at home. Handle queries and assist with maintenance requests.
• Problem-Solving: Address issues promptly, from maintenance to emergencies, and elevate concerns as needed.
• Security: Conduct regular site walk-arounds, check IDs, and monitor CCTV to maintain building safety.
• Parcel Management: Handle and record deliveries for residents ensuring a smooth communication and pick up.
• Maintain Presentation: Keep the concierge area and lobby looking presentable.
• Safety Checks: Looking out for H&S hazards on site patrol, Assist with fire alarm, emergency lighting, and smoke vent testing.
• Local Knowledge: Offer advice and recommendations about the local area to enhance residents’ experience.

What You'll Bring:
