Job summary

The Avery Healthcare Group operates Elstree View Care Home and is seeking a Residential Care Manager to lead the care team and uphold high standards of personal care. You will advocate for residents’ welfare and oversee care plans across all aspects of wellbeing.

What the job involves

• Manage the Care Supervisors so that high-quality personal care is delivered to residents
• Act as an advocate for all residents, protecting their best interests across all areas of wellbeing
• Co-ordinate the resident assessment process and ensure care plans are accurate and reflected in each plan
• Support, guide and develop team members
• Ensure equipment is stored and cleaned in line with manufacturer's instructions and after use
• Ensure compliance with the Safe Medication Management programme, with robust auditing
• Carry out Quality Care Spot Checks and report on care provided by Care Supervisors, Carers and Senior Carers

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 in Care or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of two years' experience in long-term care or a similar industry
• Experience of leading a team in a similar care environment

Skills & knowledge

• Comprehensive understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards
