Job summary

Avery Healthcare’s Grove Park Care Home is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support daily care delivery and patient wellbeing. The role includes updating care plans, assisting with medications, and acting as a key contact for residents and families. DBS check and UK work eligibility are required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.

Job description

Senior Care Assistant post at Grove Park Care Home, run by Avery Healthcare, which operates a network of over 100 care homes. The role supports the care team in delivering personal care, monitoring residents' wellbeing, supporting medication and acting as a key contact for residents, relatives and health and social care professionals. Staff supervision and monthly care plan evaluations are also part of the work. An NVQ 3 in care and two years' experience in a similar setting are required.

What the job involves

• Support the Care team to deliver personal care and a safe, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff
• Monitor each resident's wellbeing, amend care plans and records when needs change, and make sure new needs are met
• Take part in person-centred care planning, including implementing plans and undertaking monthly evaluations
• Support residents with their medication requirements
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals, acting on reasonable requests and escalating concerns or complaints

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes

Experience

• Two years' experience working in a similar care environment
