Job summary

East Suffolk Council is recruiting a Resident Liaison Officer to support the Warm Homes Wave 3 Delivery Team during energy efficiency works. You will be the primary contact for residents, coordinating access and liaising between residents, contractors and retrofit assessors to ensure a smooth customer experience.

The role requires strong communication, organisational skills and the ability to work independently, with occasional meetings outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within housing, construction or a related sector.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to engage with residents and stakeholders and manage challenging situations professionally.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and maintain accurate records.
• Good IT skills and attention to detail.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Attend resident’s meetings as required that could be outside of normal working hours.

Responsibilities

• Be the main contact for residents during energy efficiency works.
• Build positive relationships with tenants and provide information and support.
• Coordinate property access with contractors and retrofit assessors.
• Maintain accurate records and audit trails.
• Engage with residents regularly to overcome access barriers and ensure a positive customer experience.
