Job summary

East Suffolk Council is inviting applications for a Resident Liaison Officer in Lowestoft. You will be the main contact for residents during energy efficiency works, coordinating access and liaising between residents, contractors and retrofit assessors.

The role sits in the Warm Homes Wave 3 Delivery Team and requires excellent communication, strong organisation, and the ability to maintain accurate records. Fixed-term until July 2028, 37 hours per week with flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within housing, construction or a related sector.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to engage with residents and stakeholders and manage challenging situations professionally.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and maintain accurate records.
• Good IT skills and attention to detail.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Attend resident’s meetings as required that could be outside of normal working hours.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact for residents during energy efficiency improvement works.
• Coordinate property access and act as link between residents, contractors and retrofit assessors.
• Maintain accurate records and audit trails.
• Engage with residents regularly to overcome access barriers and ensure a positive customer experience.
