Job summary

deverellsmith is seeking an onsite Building Manager for a small Build to Rent community in Leeds. You will be the primary point of contact for residents, contractors, leasing partners and visitors, taking ownership of the day‑to‑day operation and ensuring an outstanding resident experience while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Property management or Build to Rent experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for resident enquiries and service requests.
• Deliver a high-quality resident experience and maintain strong resident relationships.
• Manage and coordinate maintenance requests through to satisfactory completion.
• Liaise with and supervise external contractors.
• Monitor compliance requirements and internal compliance scoring.
• Manage tenancy progression including move-ins, renewals and move-outs.
• Work with leasing agency partners and support pricing discussions with the Asset Manager.
• Develop and deliver resident events and initiatives.
• Promote resident satisfaction and retention.
• Manage resident communications and feedback.
• Monitor occupancy and leasing performance.
• Support pricing recommendations and market intelligence.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance.
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections.
