Job summary

Stonehaven (Healthcare) Ltd is hiring a Care Assistant for 36 hours per week at Chollacott House in Tavistock. Qualifications

• Desirable previous experience in a care home, hospital, or similar setting.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Good communication with colleagues and residents.
• Compassionate, patient, and caring approach to older or vulnerable people.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote person-centred care for all residents as outlined in care plans.
• Support residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility needs.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and dining room duties.
• Read and write reports and participate in care team meetings.
• Maintain safety, clean environment, and equipment as required.
• Respond to emergencies and follow company policies and procedures.
