Qualifications

• Previous care home, hospital or similar environment experience is desirable but not required
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Good communication with a professional and respectful approach
• Compassionate and patient nature with a focus on supporting older or vulnerable residents
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual handling and cleaning tasks
• Positive, flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to changing needs

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a person-centered approach to all residents
• Support care plan needs and update care plans and risk assessments when required
• Follow company policies, procedures and safe working practices
• Assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting and mobility
• Help with incontinence care and use of aids
• Care for residents who are temporarily unwell or require minor dressings
• Support residents who are dying and promote mental and physical activity
• Make beds, tidy rooms, serve meals, and assist with meals as needed
• Answer bells, greet visitors, and participate in team/residents meetings and training
