Job summary

Red Carnation Hotels is seeking a Reservations Agent in London to help guests start their experience before arrival. You will handle telephone and email enquiries, process and confirm bookings, and use your knowledge of our hotels, offers and local experiences to help guests choose the right option.

You will work with colleagues across our award-winning hotels to maintain service standards, ensure accuracy of bookings, and deliver warmth and attention to detail in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in reservations, reception or customer service in hospitality.
• Ability to respond to telephone and email enquiries clearly and politely.
• Knowledge of hotel offers, rates, facilities and local experiences.

Job description

As a Reservations Agent, you'll help our guests start enjoying their Red Carnation Hotels experience before they've even arrived. Whether they're making a new booking, changing their plans or simply looking for some advice, you'll be there to make the process easy, friendly and personal. You'll respond to telephone and email enquiries, process and confirm reservations, and use your knowledge of our hotels, restaurants, facilities, offers, rates and local experiences to help guests make the right choice. You'll make sure bookings are accurate and securely guaranteed, communicate closely with colleagues across our hotels and consistently deliver our service standards. This includes participating in monthly Forbes test calls, with a target score of at least 95%. Above all, you'll bring warmth and attention to detail to every conversation, helping each guest feel genuinely looked after.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and creating a great guest experience. You'll have previous experience in reservations, reception or customer service within hospitality, with strong communication skills, a friendly and professional telephone manner, and a keen eye for detail., You'll be confident using Microsoft Office and hotel reservation systems such as Opera Cloud, SynXis or similar, and comfortable prioritising your workload during busy periods. Just as importantly, you'll enjoy being part of a team, be happy to use your initiative and bring a calm, positive approach to your work. You'll also have plenty of opportunities to learn, deepen your knowledge of luxury hospitality and continue developing your career with Red Carnation Hotels.
